Course Description:

While the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 5.3 Administration course is still available and valid when used with TSM 5.3 code, there were several updates to the Administration Center interface at 5.3.2, which made it necessary to provide a 5.3.2 specific version of these course materials.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

Work with enterprise administration and server-to-server virtual volumes functions.
Configure single administrative logon.
Configure and exploit server-to-server virtual volumes.

Configure and use multi-session backup and restore.
Configure and use subfile backup and restore.
Design storage structure for tapeless solution using large diskpools.
Configure and use online image backup and restore.
Enable and use file grouping and open file support.
Set up and use the move node data for faster restores.
Configure and use space management (this will now be for AIX and Windows)
Optimize IBM Tivoli Storage Manager with performance tuning parameters.
Initiate Data Retention protection for archived data.
Describe the use of IBM Tivoli Storage Resource Manager with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.
Prepare reports with Operational Reporting.
Use client and server trace functions.
